Why marry? - Perceptions of the Affianced - Hibbs, M, Barton, C & Besiwsk, J
The authors, from the Centre for the Study of the Family, Law and Social Policy, Staffordshire University, look into the phenomenon of marriage and try to assess what it is that makes couples decide to marry rather than cohabit. They investigate whether the law has anything to do with those who marry - do they think the law offers them something better than when just cohabiting, or does it have no consequence at all?
