National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence
NICE describes itself as the independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on the promotion of good health and the prevention and treatment of ill health. NICE joined forces with the Health Devlopment Agency in April 2005. Initially users have to choose to enter the site via one of two arms: clinical excellence and public health excellence. The clinical side offers a huge amount of information with reams of guidance available, including a selection of 'latest guidelines'.
